CAFR Fundamental Analysis Symposium

Established in 1999 by The Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU) in collaboration with Tsinghua University, China Accounting and Finance Review (CAFR) is the first refereed journal of accounting and finance published in the Greater China Region.

The 2020 CAFR Fundamental Analysis Symposium will be held on June 15, 2020 in Helsinki, Finland. The main objective is to provide an interflow platform for scholars and experts in the fields of characteristics of accounting information and information content of financial statements. In addition, cross-country comparability studies are welcome.

Of particular interest are research papers that address the nature of effective performance forecasting (earnings, sales, expenses, profit margins, cash flows, etc., which is potentially tied to analysts’ forecasts), that examine how statement-based forecasts influence the identification of information that explains equity values and the change in equity values, and that aid practical issues, such as forecasting analysts’ excessive optimism/pessimism or over-/under-valuations.

Paper Submission

An electronic version of the manuscript in PDF or DOC/DOCX format should be sent to the CAFR Editorial Office at 

af.cafr@polyu.edu.hk  by Mar 1, 2020. 

Authors of accepted papers will be invited to present at the symposium. If desired, the paper will be given fast-track consideration for publication in CAFR. Authors will be notified of the review result by Apr 1, 2020 from Prof. James A. Ohlson, the senior track editor.
