The CWE Annual Workshop is an academic event organized by the Chinese Women Economist Network (CHWEN). The Workshop brings together Chinese women economists and their international mentors and collaborators to disseminate their empirical research outcomes. The workshop also provides a platform for Chinese women economists to share research experience with male colleagues, and to explore opportunities for future collaborations.

Workshop Theme:

The workshop focuses on the issues concerning how to make steady progress in ensuring peoples' access to childcare, education, employment, medical services, elderly care, housing and social assistance. We solicit papers that study resource allocation within the family and in society at large and engage with links between theory and policy in the aforementioned seven important areas in people's life.
